Metal strapping

For metal strapping, Carrousel offers a range of individual or combination tools: tensioners, sealers, tensioner/sealer, etc.

  • Hand tools

The operator inserts the strap into the tensioner, activates the tensioning levers, places a buckle on the strap, then crimps and seals the buckle. Hand tools can be used with any type of strapping, but different models are better suited for different materials: plastic versus metal strapping.

    • Need buckles/seals
    • Time consuming and demanding process (several manipulations required by the operator)
    • Recommended for low production volumes
  • Combination hand tools

These tools combine all the necessary operations – tensioning, sealing, and cutting – into one tool. There’s no need for buckles, clasps, or pliers with metal strapping, since sealing is done through notching. These systems are faster and easier to use than simple hand tools.

    • Can tension, seal and cut with one tool (no need for buckles/seals)
    • Sealing by notching
    • Fast and easy to use for the operator
    • Recommended for low to medium production volumes
